AAT Student Stories: Emily Gray | AAT Level 2 Review

Emily wanted to progress her accounting career, so she decided to take on an AAT Level 2 Foundation qualification with us to get the ball rolling. Find out more about her story below. 

I have recently studied a Level 2 AAT Foundation in Accounting and I can honestly say it is one of the best experiences I've ever had and one of the best choices I have ever made. Not only has it allowed me to progress further in my current job role as an Accounts Assistant, I continually found it interesting.

I started with ICS Learn with simple knowledge of accounts. I found the support network fantastic from online tutorials to the specific presentations on each topic. I also knew that my tutor was always on hand if I required any extra help with a certain area.

I must admit I was a bit skeptical at first, but online learning has to be the best choice I've made. It's allowed me to carry on working full time and still participate with activities outside of work!

The good thing is that you can work at your own pace, so you can take as long as you need to complete the level. I found that once you get the first unit out of the way, they get easier each time!

I have now moved onto studying my Level 3 in Accountancy, and I am so excited to see what I can achieve in the future and also better myself as a person.

It can sometimes be scary starting a new career, but I would pick this every time if I had the choice again. I left school without a clue of what I wanted to be when I was older, but accountancy has been the best decision I made!
